DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Drive trucks or articulated assemblies to transport goods or materials 2. Monitor vehicle condition and perform inspection of tires, lights, brakes, cold storage equipment and other equipment 3. Inspect trucks before, during and after the trip and monitor all aspects of the vehicles 4. Receive and transmit information to the central dispatcher 5. Ensuring cargo safety and security 6. Use GPS and other road navigation equipment Requirements Education: A high school diploma is required. Experience: Experience is an asset. On-the-job training is offered. - A Class 1 driver's license valid in Quebec and a pneumatic brake mention (F or Z) are required - Completion of an accredited truck driver training program of up to three months, offered by a college or vocational school, may be required. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Overtime required, Repetitive tasks, Work in a seated position. Weight handled: Up to 13.5 kg Personal qualities: Judgment, Reliability, Team spirit, Professionalism in customer service. Language: French or basic English is required.
